Joining a startup is often an excellent career move, providing you with the opportunity to be more hands-on, develop new skills and receive a decent amount of equity in the company.
We've put together a short resource to help you out on your job search.
1. Use your network
One of the best ways to find a job at a startup is through your existing network. Chances are, there are already multiple people in your network that are currently hiring. Use Crunchbase or Linkedin to browse your network by 1st or 2nd degree connections.
2. Target Startups Directly
If you already know which startups you love, reach out to them directly. If you're looking for inspiration, consider using Producthunt to see which products are currently getting a lot of traction, or check Crunchbase, Mattermark or CBinsights to see which startups have recently announced large funding rounds - this is usually a clear signal they will have also commenced hiring for new roles.
